Thank you to Pierre Cloete, wellness specialist at Kumba Resources for our September editorial contribution:

This month marks a transition in nature and hopefully in all aspects of our personal wholistic natures in here, which are interconnected with the ecology out there. We are going to witness the beauty of new life sprouting out of the earth with amazing zest, displaying colours, variety and fragrances to bring a sense of awe and gratitude. Even at night the skies will change and we will see different stars. This energy can be contagious to us human doings. If we make time to create awareness of the processes in nature, we will be able to have the experience of human beings, thus connecting us to all the changes happening around us.

I can choose to be an appreciator rather than a depreciator of everything that shows up, saying ‘thank you for everything’. When you’re expressing gratitude for your life and all that you see and experience, you’re respecting the Creator and creation, while creating your own abundance. This respect is within you, and you can only give away what you have inside. Being in a state of gratitude is the exact same thing as being in a state of respect – respect for yourself, which you give away freely, and which will return to you tenfold.

Being in a state of gratitude creates magnetism, and a magnet draws things to itself. By giving authentic thanks to all the good you have, as well as the challenges, this magnetism will start the flow of more good into your life. Your sense of awe at all the miracles you see around you allows you to think, see and live more of these miraculous occurrences.

Let us say YES to life this Spring. One of the most effective means for transcending the ordinary and moving into the realm of the extraordinary is saying ‘yes’ more often, and ‘no’ only when appropriate. Let’s say ‘yes’ to ourselves, families, business, colleagues, creation - and to fun! – thus becoming ‘extraordinary’ people.
