Opening your Heart Retreats @ Etali Safari Lodge

Set in the heart of the spectacular, Malaria-Free Madikwe Game Reserve, Etali rises to meet you with prolific hospitality - truly understanding privacy while at the same time paying impeccable personal attention to each and every guest.  

Etali's accommodation comprises of double thatched luxury suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom.  The suites each has a private deck with a spectacular view of the surrounding bush, and also fitted with a heated whirlpool.
Etali's delectable cuisine is a contemporary fusion of traditional African with an Asian twist - a re-invention of gourmet dining in the bush. 
The Madikwe Plains offers sightings of Africa's Big Five including the endangered black rhino, the African wild dog - known as the world's most endangered canine cheetah, giraffe and many other glorious species.
 
The Wellness Centre offers our guests a choice of relaxing in it's tranquillity while being treated to any of our fantastic therapies as listed in the Wellness Menu, otherwise indulge in a massage on the private deck of your suite, while watching the sun set over the magnificent rich red soil planes of Madikwe.

Heart centred wellness is an example of energy medicine and science combining in a healing dance where fact, mystery, imagination and soul exploration create an aspect of wholeness.

The Retreat will be facilitated by Dr Arien van der Merwe, medical doctor and author who specialises in the integrative approach to the management of the chronic lifestyle diseases (or health challenges), stress management and workplace wellness interventions. Day 1:

Arrival and check–in at Etali Safari Lodge and enjoy a leisurely afternoon around the pool until we meet at;

Short lecture by Dr Arien vd Merwe on the weekend retreat: expectations 7 input; A short journey into your heart; Latest heart research.

The group will meet for a Heart healthy dinner

Relaxercises to prepare for a restful sleep; Self love heart mediation

Time for beta, alpha, theta, delta sleep

 

Day 2

Enjoy early morning relaxercises on the lawn to wake up body and mind. This will end with a loving kindness meditation.
